Arsene Wenger refuses to blame Cech for 2-0 loss to West Ham

Following Arsenal's 2-0 loss to fellow premier league team West Ham yesterday Sunday 9 August 2015, the manager of Arsenal FC Arsene Wenger has refused to solely blame Petr Cech for the loss. Yesterday's match was the debut match for the Cech Republic goalkeeper for Arsenal and as such much expectations were placed on him during the match that was played at Emirates Stadium.

In the after-match interview, the French manager stated that "I haven't spoken to him[Cech] yet, but i can't see many convincing individual performances. It is difficult to single one out".
"It's not only him, if you look at the back line we have plenty of experience at the back. I think the youngest is 30". "we were punished for our defending. We gave two very cheap goals away and gave ourselves a mountain to climb" he continued.
"West Ham are a bit more advanced in their preparation. They've played more competitive games than us and we know that" Wenger further observed.
