Drake held an After party at the Muzik Nightclub on Monday which lasted into the early hours of Tuesday morning. This was to celebrate the end of his Annual OVO Festival which took place at the nearby Molson Amphitheatre on Sunday and Monday. Just about 3AM, gunshots were fired several times inside the nightclub and people quickly scrambled for safety. However, two people; a man and a woman were shot dead while several others sustained injuries. Superintendent Frank Bergen of the Toronto Police said that "at this point we do not know for certain that one or two (shootings) were in the nightclub and we believe the others were outside the area.This is all unfolding now and we're doing our investigation". It is however uncertain if Drake was still at the venue as at the time of the shooting.
