Pedro possible to leave Barcelona amid Man U interest

Pedro has informed Barcelona he wants to leave this summer as he bids to force through a move to Manchester United. The Catalan side's sporting director Robert Fernandez was speaking ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final when he revealed Pedro's request. 'Pedro has told me that he wants to leave,' he said on Spanish television. 'Right now there is nothing [no offers].'

 Although United have not yet made a bid for the forward, they are deep in negotiations with Barcelona over a deal. Louis van Gaal would like to bring the Canary Islander to Old Trafford to replace Angel di Maria, who has signed for Paris Saint-Germain. However, to do so Barcelona are intent on making the English side pay the full £22million which represents Pedro's buy-out clause.
